About the Role
The Twitch Localization team is responsible for internationalizing, translating, trans-creating and testing a large array of assets into 27 languages. The team mission is to help our international community grow by offering products that look, behave and feel native.
In this position, you will help ensure that users have the same accurate and enjoyable experience in all international markets. You will automate and scale localization testing processes to make testing easier and faster.
Our team is internationally distributed; but we're open to you working from Seattle, New York, London (UK) or Paris (France). You will report to our Sr. Manager for Localization at Twitch.
You Will:
- Review and assess current Localization QA practices
- Design and implement efficient and scalable Internationalization quality frameworks and metrics for multiple products and content types across Twitch
- Collaborate cross-functionally with numerous teams and vendors to set, manage, and meet stakeholder quality expectations
- Track vendors' performance through data and metrics
- Triage, prioritize and ensure the timely fixing of Internationalization and localization issues
You Have:
- 5+ years of localization QA experience managing medium to large-scale projects
- Strong technical domain knowledge (globalization, internationalization, localization)
- Knowledge of the full localization life cycle, best practices, and industry translation management systems
- Experience collaborating across the organization and a variety of teams
- A passion to scale processes and adapt to ongoing project needs
- Experience working with global teams, markets, and diverse cultures
Bonus Points
- Knowledge of a foreign language
- Experience with Jira and Smartling (or similar translation management system)
- Experience localizing a wide range of content formats (Web, Mobile, CMS, Knowledge Base, Marketing, Video, etc.)
