Summary:

As a Test Development Engineer, you will be responsible for defining the appropriate quality standards and validate our product accordingly to ensure the design fulfills product requirements.

You will be belonging to Software Quality Assurance (SWQA) team, the main job of SWQA is to consult the EE, FW, and SW team members to create the proper auto test plan, design the test program, and test tool based on the plan. Communicate with device interfaces (for example I2C, USB) for function stability test, FW update, LED control, report rate test…etc. The candidate needs to have a background in C/C++, as it is needed for developing an autotest program, you will also be able to communicate with the third-party component if we need to design some special test tool. Besides, the manual test is also part of your job.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To cooperate with all core teams (EE/FW/SW).
  • To develop test cases for SW/FW integrated systems and validate accordingly for new projects.
  • To develop test cases for compatibility evaluating on different HW platforms/protocols.
  • Manual test variable devices.
  • To work with team members thru engineering build to address any bug and issue from the test cases.
  • Co-work with fixture vendor to develop test tool (LED control, Mouse report rate test…)

Education/Experience/Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Ability to work independently and perform multiple tasks to meet deadlines
  • Experience with C or C++
  • EE background is a plus.
  • Familiar with USB/I2C interface for design test tool is a plus
  • Familiar with Raspberry Pi/8051 is a plus. (periphery device control/communication)
  • Fluent English listening/speaking skill is a plus.
