Turn 10 Studios, makers of the award winning, billion-dollar Forza franchise, is searching for a physics engineer to advance our world class racing simulation.
You will be joining a small multi-discipline team of talented people that work together to build features that delight our customers. You will drive architecture and implementation of stable, flexible physics systems that enhance the accuracy of our game and make our players feel as if they are driving our cars in real life.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-discipline peers to design vehicle physics systems that mimic the real world.
- Investigate and optimize code to ensure that our physics and vehicle dynamics systems are operating within performance budgets.
- Provide physics consulting and implementations for all features in the game.
- Contribute to growth of your peers through code and architecture feedback.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of professional C++ development experience
- Experience building rigid body physics simulations in shipping software
- Strong 3D math skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment with other disciplines. Good communication skills are a must.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in games industry
- Experience building vehicle dynamics systems
- Love of games. The ideal candidate will have passion for our product and empathy for our players.
- Passion for cars and racing
