What you will do

  • Create the best possible user experience while considering the client’s objectives and maintaining a coherent vision of the e-commerce platform within the Star Citizen project. In this role, you will be working closely with UX Designers, Developers, Art directors, and Producers to understand the business vision and objectives to help create user-centred design solutions.

You’re Savvy in

  • Communicating efficiently with people. Being proficient in English is essential.
  • Working closely with team members (producers, UX lead, art directors, developers and QA) to understand user behaviours, resolve design issues and optimize existing experiences
  • Assisting in the production of wireframes, prototypes, concepts, sketches, user flows, etc.
  • Understanding the client's needs, objectives and perspective
  • Adapting to various contexts, sometimes shifting priorities
  • Sharing a strong passion for gaming

You have Accomplished

  • 5 years+ of experience as a UX Designer
  • A solid understanding of the UX design process for e-commerce
  • Experience with web analytic tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Optimize, etc. You want your design to be supported by hard data.
  • Knowledge of behaviour analysis tools such as Hotjar, CrazyEggs or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Sketch, InVision, Abstract, or equivalent
  • Experience in animation and facilitation of workshops for teams in collaboration with UX designers, UI designers and other professions
  • Good skills in visual design/UI, UX design and prototyping
  • Excellent knowledge of Agile methodology and affinity with the Lean UX approach
  • Experience in the video game industry; an asset

You’re Eager to Take On

  • Transforming high-level project requirements or user stories into tangible sitemaps, user flows, wireframes and prototypes using modern prototyping and design tools for Star Citizen’s e-commerce platform
  • Applying a user-centered design approach and rapidly testing and iterating designs based on direction from the Team Lead
  • Maintaining design documentation, including Design Systems, UX standards and User Stories
  • Analyzing customer needs and target audiences in collaboration with team members
  • Creating solutions and sharing them with internal teams and/or clients
  • Maintaining current knowledge of UX methodologies, UX design trends and design best practices, while staying up-to-date on new design technologies, trends and solutions
