Your Mission

Treyarch is seeking a talented artist to help drive and manage our 2D art pipeline. As an Art Supervisor, you will be responsible for developing creative direction, providing feedback and ensuring delivery of high-quality content for our players. You will also contribute to the creation and implementation of content in engine. Working with stakeholders across multiple departments, you will be the primary point person for this pipeline and incorporate feedback from multiple teams.

This position is remote with potential onsite work in the future. Candidates should have a solid understanding of core artistic principles such as form, proportion, balance and color. Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must. The ideal candidate is passionate and loves to make great games.

What you'll be doing:

  • Drive and manage a 2D pipeline of significant scale.
  • Turn loose direction into clear, actionable kick off documents for external content partners including both written and visual guidance.
  • Process incoming deliverables, provide initial feedback and collect stakeholder input. Prepare and communicate revisions when needed.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality work, ranging from initial sketches to final render and color passes.
  • Work directly with UI Lead to maintain a consistent visual aesthetic across a wide range of asset types.
  • Collaborate with Producers, Leads and Directors to ensure assets meet AAA quality requirements.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of assets in engine.
  • Propose pipeline and process improvements.

Player Profile:

  • 2+ years of experience working as a concept artist or visual designer. Game industry experience a plus.
  • Portfolio demonstrating examples of concept art or visual designs.
  • Solid communicator who works well with a variety of personalities in an energetic team environment.
  • Must be able to receive stakeholder feedback and iterate based on that feedback.
  • Proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Experience working in a related field such as advertising, motion graphics, web design, illustration or industrial design a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Media Design, Graphic Design, Illustration or Industrial Design a plus.
  • MUST have a passion for games
