Overview

Topgolf Media is looking for a talented and experienced Unity UI Artist with Canvas experience who is a communicative, tech savvy team player with a creative spirit. Bring your Unity 3D experience and your background for developing engaging mobile games.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and update UI assets of an emerging mobile title.
  • Review and transpose UX wireframes into working UI Panels in Unity.
  • Create high quality, production-ready assets for use within UI Panels such as icons, buttons, typography, and UI animations
  • Create responsive UI assets to work across the array of contemporary mobile and tablet screens within their predefined safe-areas
  • Possess a good understanding of transitions and appropriate motions used in your UI
  • Prototype and mockup UI screens and animations to visualize the user experience
  • Work with a small team of engineers to implement assets and panels into Unity
  • Work with an art director to further the overall style of the game’s UI.

Key Qualifications

Key Qualifications

  • 2+ years working extensively with Unity’s Canvas UI system to build game UI panels
  • 4+ years of game development experience
  • Shipped at least 2 games, preferably mobile titles
  • Degree in Graphic Design, UI, art, animation, or equivalent background
  • An established understanding of typography, graphic design, color theory, and composition
  • Strong understanding of how to create fun, engaging, and intuitive UI for mobile devices
  • Proven talent with UI animations/transitions or motion graphics
  • Experience developing with Unity3D and publishing to mobile platforms
  • Experience working with Perforce or other revision control software
  • Near-expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite of tools (emphasis on Photoshop and Illustrator)
  • Extreme attention to detail, driving for pixel perfection
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong sense of ownership and drive
  • Positive, enthusiastic attitude with great teamwork and interpersonal skills and ability to interact with cross departmental groups.

Pluses

  • Experience with the NGUI plugin for Unity3d
  • Prior experience with using a 3D package (such as Maya) to to help create artwork used in your Unity UI.
