Tobii Tech's mission to make tomorrows technology even more adapted to natural human behavior is getting real. As you read this, we are integrating Tobii’s core eye tracking technology into laptops, VR and AR headsets, we are developing eye tracking functionalities for games and we are taking yet another step into the Esports arena.

Eye tracking enables a lot of interactive experiences, ranging from interaction with games and apps to interaction with a device itself. Are you a true gamer and passionate about designing and understanding a new playing field of human computer interaction?

Awesome! Because Tobii is now looking for a UX/UI designer who will add even more stellar experiences into apps that make gaming and streaming more fun!

You will work together with developers, QA and UX researchers in integrating eye tracking based experiences that enhance PC games. You will play a critical role in defining and designing our gaming products and coordinate the designs with other PC products. You may be tasked to facilitate research and collect user feedback to validate product direction.

The role and responsibilities

You will join a team where the aim is to always improve user experience and understanding. Understanding their needs and pains is the key to create a memorable user experience to inform, engage and retain customers, primarily gamers. You will work with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, InVision, UserZoom and more.

Your days will be filled with

  • Evolve our gaming products to look great, be simple to use and engage gamers and streamers.
  • Manage user tests end to end: identify action points based on metrics, develop testing scripts, create assets as needed, moderate, analyze, and deliver results from user research and usability testing.
  • Translate user insights into product design that engineering, and QA teams can leverage, often through iterative cycles.
  • Identify gaps in knowledge about our users and develop research initiatives on defining the product market fit for our products, including Tobii gaming.

We are looking for someone with

  • 5 years + of experience in applied user/product research, interface and user experience design.
  • Solid UI design skills. Also familiar with design systems and component libraries, not one-off solutions. Portfolio requested.
  • Experience with the tools needed in designing and testing ideas, from pen and paper to digital prototype tools.
  • This is a tough one - you must play games! We do need someone who has a natural gaming mindset, and by extension, enjoys broadcast and streaming events. You are also involved in the game community. Prior experience within the gaming industry a plus.

To be successful in this position we believe that you are one of those people that truly believe that collaboration is the key to success. You can lead and explain your decisions and the ’why’ behind what you do and enjoy discussing the problems at hand with your colleagues. Many people can identify a problem, but your strength lies in creating solutions to solve the issue.
