Position Duties

We are looking for a technical animator for the development of our new game.
The technical animator will work closely with our 3D Artists, Animators and Engineers, helping to develop and implement state-of-the art animations into Unreal Engine.

What you will do

  • Creating custom rigs for human characters and cool creatures
  • Creating automated rigs
  • Rigging/skinning
  • Work with animation graphs in Unreal
  • Assist character artists with skinning and rigging, including setups for facial animation
  • Work with motion capture (capture, cleanup, implementation)

Candidate Profile

Specific Requirements

  • Games industry experience, having shipped title(s)
  • Must have experience with animation pipelines, processes and creating complex animation systems (animation graphs, state machines)
  • Must have at least one full project cycle working as a Technical Animator
  • Professional use of 3Ds Max animation tools
  • Scripting skills (MEL / Python / MAXScript etc.)
  • Can communicate in English (both written and spoken)
  • Should be able to work independently but values working in a mature team environment

Other Skills

  • Proactive with strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Experience with Unreal engine is a definite plus
  • Fundamental animation skills
  • Adaptability, flexibility, open mind
  • Open to constructive criticism
