As a Quality Assurance Team Lead, you will work closely with teams of friendly, dedicated, and smart individuals across Product Management/Design, Engineering and Customer Support groups departments to understand the product vision and ensure our mobile and web applications meet and exceed the highest quality industry standards. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of your supported product portfolio by ensuring that proper QA processes, effective planning, and timely execution are adhered to for all releases.

Typical Work Day at theScore:

  • Lead a team of quality engineering professionals and project test activities within the assigned product portfolio to ensure the highest product quality and on-time delivery
  • Create QA artifacts such as test plans and strategies with a focus on optimized testing coverage
  • Oversee the execution of test plans, monitoring, and reporting on test execution and quality metrics.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand product vision and requirements.
  • Understanding how all elements of the applications and systems will work together and developing QA approaches that fit the overall strategy.
  • Maximize the development and use of automation testing to continuously improve testing efficiency, coverage, and delivery
  • You are an experienced leader who is bringing the best out of your team, ensuring all the team members are happy and challenged, and to help remove team roadblocks as necessary
  • Analyze, interpret, and communicate qualitative and quantitative findings from tests and monitor bug resolution efforts and track results and known defects
  • Assist with the maintenance and the development of the current regression test suite
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Degree in computer science/engineering, or equivalent knowledge and/or experience.
  • Previous Quality Assurance Team Leadership experience, preferably a thorough understanding of testing strategies, including automated and manual testing.
  • Experience with mobile platform app stores and release procedures.
  • Advanced knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion.
  • Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A deep understanding of quality assurance in a team, and a track record of shipping/releasing applications on time.
  • Familiarity with mobile release cycles and a modern technology stack.
  • Familiarity with mobile and web automation tools (Appium, Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, UI Automator).

NICE TO HAVE: Any programming language (Ruby, Python, JavaScript, etc.), automating tests at the unit, experience working at startups, Chatbot programming, passion for sports and/or esports.
