The Principle Game Designer will lead product development efforts for core / hobby channel and major new TCG initiatives.
What You Will Do
- Lead creation and communication of product strategies for core / hobby channel and major new TCG initiatives to guide product development efforts such as creating new product lines or play formats.
- Lead creation and execution of product plans for all core / hobby channel focused TCG products and major new TCG initiatives.
- Lead creation of new play formats in support of core / hobby channel and new TCG initiatives and partner with Organized Play to launch those play formats
- Partner with Product Marketing by serving as an expert on customer expectations and desires in creating compelling product stories targeted at different customer types
- Lead analysis and communication of how product decisions affected sales and other performance for core/hobby and major new TCG initiatives, and incorporate learnings into future product strategies and plans.
- Coordinate with and support other Game Design teams as necessary
What You Will Bring
- BA or BS Degree or equivalent work experience
- 10 years of experience in the gaming industry
- 5 years of experience in working on TCGs
- Experience playing Pokémon TCG preferred
- Passion for Pokémon preferred
- Previous experience managing teams preferred
- Passion for hobby games, especially trading card games
- Passion for and knowledge of entire gaming industry
