Organized Play Associate - Event Coordinator

Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager of Organized Play, this position supports the efforts of Organized Play to execute a global championship series in several product categories. The primary goal is to facilitate long lead scheduling and coordination of Organized Play Premier Events.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule Regional-level Premier Events and provide support for International and World Championship events
  • Interface with vendors and key partners in North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific to coordinate events
  • Maintain global Premier Event calendar and be point of contact for internal stakeholders
  • Manage the bid, review, selection, and contracting process for Premier Events with focus on Regional Championship events in North America
  • Coordinate with Logistics, Accounting, Legal, Media Production, Product Development, Online Marketing, and Consumer Event Marketing to execute events
  • Maintain and communicate all Organized Play requirements to cross-functional groups
  • Manage required event asset requests, production, and delivery
  • Regularly communicate pertinent event and schedule information to key stakeholders
  • Track event performance and create regular event reports

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • At least 3 years’ experience in Organized Play, esports, or sports programs
  • Strong knowledge of common tournament structures including single elimination, double elimination, swiss, and round robin play
  • Strong knowledge of common league and season structures that award invitations to World Championship events
  • Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team
  • Excellent project management skills with an ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Experience with scheduling tasks and meeting deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Experience in production of a live event Excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office suite
  • Existing knowledge of the Pokémon brand and Play! program a plus
  • Existing knowledge of Microsoft Project, Workfront, JIRA, and SharePoint a plus
  • Existing knowledge of AutoCAD, Maya, Sketchup, or similar program a plus

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent working experience

Work Conditions

  • TPCi is a standard office work environment, with primarily open cubicles. Adjustable chairs, desks, and monitor stands are provided for all employees
  • Evening and weekend work during events
  • Travel up to 20%, including both domestic and international travel
