The Players’ Lobby is the voice of the unique stories of esports, told through the scene’s most authentic and authoritative players and personalities. We are looking for a talented League of Legends writers who share our ambition for the future of esports media to join the team as we look to build upon our early success.
We believe that, during a critical period for the esports industry, the voices of those whose dedication has created the phenomenon should be amplified.
To achieve this, we work with esports athletes to produce first-person stories that will shape the future of the industry and bring esports fans closer than ever to their favourite players.
The Players’ Lobby has already worked with high-profile players to produce thought-provoking pieces on critical topics such as gaming houses and wrist injuries, resulting in tangible shifts in strategy amongst leading esports organisations.
Responsibilities:
- Sourcing stories and contributors for The Players’ Lobby
- Editing features written by contributors
- Proofing final copy
- Interviewing industry professionals, notably players, coaches and analysts
Requirements:
- Strong journalistic/copywriting skills
- An in-depth knowledge of the League of Legends esports scene
- Be able to attend either the EU LCS studio in Berlin or the NA LCS studio in Los Angeles on a regular basis to conduct interviews
- (Preferable) Existing relationships with League of Legends teams/players
