Job Description

thatgamecompany is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, and passionate technical producer to help support the releasing of our game to the public and actively handle live game incidents.

We are a growing company that seeks to bring joy and happiness to millions through the medium of gaming. We are working remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Sky’s release activities & efforts to ensure the on-time smooth releases for our games in partnership with the Release team
  • Create and facilitate effective and positive collaboration between the Release team and other departments
  • Own and improve release and live incidents pipeline
  • Anticipate, identify, communicate, and help resolve bottlenecks that may compromise quality or schedule of a release
  • Coordinate Live Operations response to issues and incidents
  • Contribute to thatgamecompany’s unique culture and vision, positive work environment and the company's growth

Must Haves

  • 2+ years of game development experience in an Engineering Production, Technical Project Management, LiveOps or Release Management roles
  • Proven experience releasing game updates, preferably within a game as a service model
  • Results oriented, analytical mindset, ability to drive a project to completion
  • Experience supporting software development, a Computer Science degree or related qualification
  • Strong communication skills and ability to design and facilitate release sessions that lead to clear outcomes
  • Able to positively and persistently implement changes to improve the processes and workflows
  • Passion for games and belief in thatgamecompany’s vision
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience as a software engineer and/or familiarity with software engineering processes and tools
  • Experience with mobile, free to play, or social games
  • Actively play Sky: Children of the Light
  • Fluent in written and spoken Chinese (Mandarin)
