The Outsource Manager is responsible for managing, discovering, tracking and maintaining our outsource partnerships across the development studio for all of our titles.
Responsibilities
- Audit potential outsourcers for process, ability, reliability, quality, availability as well as previous working relationships.
- Handle initial communications and liaisons with potential outsource partners
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential outsourcing companies to ensure that Team17 have access to the best
- Undertake internal reviews around the effectiveness of working with our outsourcing partners and collating and providing feedback both internally and externally where appropriate.
- Keeping a record of all past, present and potential outsourcers with all relevant data required by the developers.
- Work with projects and departmen heads to identify best outsourcer for the type and amount of work required be that for art, code, or testing purposes.
- Handle purchase orders and invoices as well as working with the outsourcer, the developers and finance on the contract and payments.
- Identify efficiencies and improvements in the outsourcing feedback and approval process
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in an outsourcing role, ideally within the games industry.
- A people person who is friendly and confident speaking to developers
- Flexible with a willingness to adapt to different relationships and ways of working.
- A good fit within the studio enronment and wider business, with an emphasis on building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exemplary organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise a varying workload effectively.
