We're well on our way to helping shape the world of esports, all thanks to our incredible fans, athletes, influencers, content creators, Liquid+, and Liquipedia (the world's most extensive esports wiki).
The Opportunity:
As part of Alienware's Good in Gaming Initiative, we are taking on a Website Development Intern. Do you have a background in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics? Would you love to proactively support several teams, multitasking in a fast-paced esports environment? Are you an individual that thrives when working independently or in group settings? If so, you could be the type of candidate that would be perfect for the part-time Website Development Intern role at Team Liquid, a high-growth entrepreneurial organization. The Technology department helps the organization contribute to the development of our Liquid+ website initiative, manage software and data, as well as maximize revenue and drive operational efficiencies. To do this, the Technology team collaborates with different departments to identify and resolve bugs, source meaningful data, set up efficient operational processes, and deploy actionable solutions.

What You'll Be Doing:
Learning how to develop and maintain features for Liquid+, our custom-built fan engagement platform
Learning how to collaborate when working closely with our other developers to ensure compatibility and usability of pieces you’re working on
Learning how to help optimize features, both in the design phase and upon delivery
Learning how to manage and update statuses for tickets you're working on within our team’s project management suite
Other projects as assigned
What You'll Need:
A background in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), including programming experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Google Suites
Ability to prepare extensive reports and present findings with clear and concise feedback and recommendations
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Fluent in English
You'll Earn Bonus Points If You Have:
Experience coding in any JavaScript-based language
Experience working with any of; NodeJS, React or React Native
Experience working with databases (e.g., MySQL or MongoDB)
Experience working with Docker and Microservices
Basic knowledge of secure coding practices and web security, including SQL, Code Injection, XSS, CSRF, serialization attacks, and others
