What You’ll Do:
- Provide guidance and training to employees at all levels including manager development, employee career development, and employee relations
- Coordinate between Sr. Management and employees to ensure consistent and transparent communication practices as well as manage expectations
- Develop relationships and support HR programs working across an employee and contractor base that is international and consists of full-time, part-time, and interns. Main areas of concentration – the U.S. and the Netherlands
- Translate your foundational HR knowledge on a daily basis and know when support from external consultants is needed on more complex issues surrounding immigration, legal compliance, professional development, compensation practices etc.
- Own all HR processes related to employee onboarding, orientation, offboarding, training and benefits administration. Make ongoing suggestions for process improvements
- Be comfortable with ambiguity and researching issues that affect a global workforce
- Develop and maintain job descriptions to ensure organizational structure is optimal at each phase of company growth
- Oversee performance management program as well conduct regular manager and employee meetings to support professional and career development
- Oversee compensation programs and review on an annual basis
- Work with Hiring Managers on the recruiting process and standardize job descriptions, postings, and the interview process to ensure clear expectations and a good candidate experience
- Help the leadership team to translate strategic plans into company development programs
- Act as a catalyst for change, help set direction, provide appropriate resources and manage execution of organizational changes
Your Background:
- 5 years’ experience in a Human Resources function, ideally with a focus on employee relations, manager development and performance management
- Demonstrated experience in a high growth company i.e. comfortable in a start-up or entrepreneurial environment in a growing industry
- A “do whatever it takes mentality” and quest for excellence (a must!)
- Experience managing programs that support employee retention strategies including culture initiatives
- Great organizational skills, strong attention to detail and familiarity with systems
- Good knowledge of HR policies and laws
- Experience with the interviewing and hiring process supporting Managers and creating job descriptions
- Comfortable managing up and prioritizing a variety of tasks and responsibilities
- Bachelors’ Degree in HR, Business, Communications, Psychology or other related discipline
- Fluent in English
