1UP Studios was founded by hardcore esports fans to create content for hardcore esports fans. As a division of Team Liquid Enterprises, we are not a studio that simply "dabbles" in esports and gaming content, but one that is entrenched, dedicated and driven by pushing the landscape of esports content forward. Do you have a passion for the art of storytelling, esports and gaming? Do you love working independently as well as with a team in a professional, fast-paced studio environment? Are you innovative and versatile when conceptualizing, creating and executing content? Youโ€™re the type of candidate that would be perfect for the Digital Producer role at Team Liquid. Your projects will primarily be focused on esports and gaming content. They also range, and will include commercials, skits, vlogs, documentaries, interviews, announcements and more.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and design ideas for new projects and formats for Team Liquid and associated talent.
  • Lead the production of flagship projects, Team Liquid commercial obligations, and social content in various forms. Examples include:
    • Squad (League of Legends Series)
    • Champions (Dota 2 series)
    • Rise (Fortnite series)
    • CS:GO (informational series)
    • Alienware, HyperX, Monster Energy, SAP contract obligations.
  • Participate in creative meetings and bring unique ideas to the table.
  • Identify current content marketing trends to build on content opportunities.
  • Develop innovative storylines and create treatments, rundowns, scripts and visual images.
  • Organize and coordinate resources for project execution.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines that vary in size, type, complexity.
  • Lead and direct teams, ensuring project deliverables are met.
  • Execute projects within the bounds of schedule and budget with the ultimate goal of creating groundbreaking content.
  • Promote a positive, collaborative, stimulating learning environment amongst the creative teams.
  • Work closely with the post department to ensure product deliverables are met.
  • Collaborate with teams in formulating new processes and workflows.

Requirements

  • Content production experience in the film and entertainment industry.
  • Experience interfacing with and directing talent.
  • Experience in the digital space with influencers, creators, athletes, etc.
  • Extensive knowledge of the overall production process, from outline, to filming, editing, and delivery.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with YouTube backend tools and various social media video formats.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with cameras, lenses, lighting, from iPhone to Ari;
  • Available to work in our office located in Santa Monica, CA, on a set, or offsite
    • Office hours typically range from 11AM - 7PM Monday-Friday but will frequently shift to weekends and past 7PM based on project needs.
  • Nimbleness in your ability to produce multiple projects during any given week and jump from project to project as needed.
  • A genuine interest in esports, gaming, and its rich history.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a positive manner with clients, managers, producers, stakeholders, sponsors, and editors.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, able to work within tight deadlines and keep projects on track.
  • Well versed in workflow and communication applications such as Slack, Asana, Frame.iO, Trello etc.
  • Well versed in different filming styles including documentary, commercial, music video, informational/ educational, social/ vlog.
