Our team is growing and we are looking for an Accounting Manager! This position is responsible for assisting and overseeing all aspects of accounting including but not limited to general ledger, accounts receivable and accounts payable. They will also assist the Senior Director of Finance in building the finance and accounting systems required to manage all aspects of short, medium and long-term planning.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all bookkeeping activities and all cash management functions, including assisting in the preparation and maintenance of the budget.
  • All general ledger accounting including monthly P&L reporting, Balance Sheet reconciliation, and monthly cash-flow and forecasting.
  • Assist in the preparation of Financial Statements and Budgeting Analysis.
  • Assist in the management of Payroll for the organization.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of Accounting Policies and Procedures.
  • Assists in all financial aspects of regulatory audit examinations by the firm's various regulators, as well as, our annual year end audited financial preparation by our third party accounting firm.
  • Supervision of accounting support staff.
  • Assist in development and administration of the internal accounting control system.
  • Investigate and research accounting questions related to internal and external reporting issues to ensure that financial activity is recorded in a manner consistent with the Company’s policies and procedures and GAAP.

Supervisory

  • Working with the staff accountants to ensure that accounts, records and related documentation is maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate standards, and contract requirements.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of Accounting experience.
  • Bachelors Degree; CPA a plus but not required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be an analytical and critical thinker with the ability to dig deep into the details but present high-level findings to management.
  • Exceptional MS Excel skills and experience with Quickbooks Online or other G/L systems a must.
  • Detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Proactive and a self-motivator with the ability to learn quickly.
