Responsibilities:

  • Serve as one of the day-to-day contacts for clients, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of clients’ business, industry trends and competitive environments.
  • Support in managing budgets for profitability and manage team – ACs, AEs -- in contributing to the financial health of the account.
  • Actively participate and contribute to the development of account plans and ideas, including facilitating brainstorms and participating in program presentations.
  • Proactively pitch local, regional and national print, broadcast and online media, strengthening relationships to increase client’s visibility in the marketplace.
  • Proactively identify media relations challenges (traditional & digital) and recommend appropriate “course correcting” solutions.
  • Manage (when/where appropriate) and support events on-site as agency contact.
  • Understand and effectively articulate externally Taylor’s Strategic Principles.
  • Proficient in writing and editing client media materials, byline articles, client correspondence and reports with knowledge of emerging digital platforms and non-traditional media.
  • Understand agency’s business, demonstrate ability to articulate how Taylor differentiates itself and communicate how this benefits clients.
  • Produce tactical Digital initiatives and when appropriate, oversee tactical initiatives (e.g., SMR, blogger lists, post video/photos to DSM sharing sites, etc.).
  • Understand and articulate Social Media monitoring results.
  • As an integration point with traditional PR, build on existing foundation to think strategically about Digital Strategies.
  • Contribute regularly to the intranet and encourage junior staff to also participate.
  • Proactively offer perspective and identify trends for clients as it relates to digital/social media

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3+ years of agency and/or corporate public relations experience, specifically working with consumer brands, is preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively articulate ideas to clients, colleagues and staff.
  • Proven track record of conceiving, planning and executing PR strategies.
  • Demonstration of successes in earned media relations, including a strong list of media / journalist contacts across multiple verticals
  • Must have high level of interest in digital and emerging technologies and New Media landscape, and experience with new media outlets including blogs, communities, networks
  • Possess a vested interest in sports (inclusive of esports) as well as competitive gaming
