SuperAwesome is looking for a growth lead to work on Rukkaz, the free, kid-safe, non-toxic AVOD platform designed for 7-13 year olds to hang out with their favourite creators, watch videos and play games together.

This is an opportunity to help shape the growth strategy for a major new entrant in the online video space. In this role you’ll work closely with the CEO and product team to define and test our all important first growth loops - matching paid acquisition with organic referrals and app store optimisation techniques.

This is a hands on role. You’ll need to be comfortable switching from managing paid campaigns across the main ad networks one minute, setting up Mailchimp campaigns the next, then jumping into a product meeting to discuss optimising our onboarding flows. But we’re also looking for someone who can think strategically - helping us use growth marketing to iterate towards product market fit.

To launch Rukkaz we’re putting together a team of the best content, engineering, product and talent management people we can find. You’ll be an integral part of this team. It won’t be easy - but if you enjoy working with great people to find traction in the earliest stages, this role is a great way to show what you can do.

About Rukkaz

Rukkaz is a new video app for kids aged 7 - 13. We’re building the best place for kids to hangout with their favourite content creators. We’re about more than just watching videos; we’re all about equipping creators with the best tools to engage their users and fans. And we do it all in an environment that’s carefully moderated to be always entertaining, but never toxic. With more need than ever before for spaces designed for a new generation of internet users, Rukkaz “could scarcely be more timely.” (Variety)

Rukkaz is currently in private beta, ahead of a launch in the second half of 2020.

Rukkaz is backed by some of the biggest names in the emerging kidtech space, with SuperAwesome as a principal investor and incubator. SuperAwesome is an enterprise technology company, used by hundreds of brands and content-owners to safely engage with over 500M kids every month.

Requirements

About you as a person:

  • You’re a do-er. You get stuck in and solve problems - and you have the knowledge and skills to make the most of the technology available to you to get stuff done.
  • You embrace all elements of growth. You’ve got the analytical skills to master paid UA, the creative skills to brief designers and the strategic mindset that enables you to link both to our overall vision.
  • You’re a team player and a good communicator. You’re comfortable both with communicating to senior stakeholders and working directly with product and engineering to deliver.
  • You’re a growth explorer. You seek out new techniques and approaches. If there’s an important new medium post on A/B testing techniques blowing up on Monday, you’ve read in by Tuesday, tried it by Thursday and improved it by Friday.

About your skills:

  • Significant previous experience managing campaigns on Facebook, Google UAC and paid display. Must be comfortable managing significant budgets
  • Analytical mindset and strong quantitative skills
  • Good knowledge and understanding of ASO best practices
  • Track record of delivering mobile growth at scale and having deploy
  • Product and engineering literate
  • Good communicator
  • Prior experience with Mailchimp and basic SQL would be a distinct advantage
