Position Overview

Super League is looking for a creative thinker and self-starter who is interested in being part of a fast-paced business with a positive culture driven by a collective will to succeed.

The Sales Marketing Manager is responsible for researching and identifying sales trends both internally and in relevant market segments for the purposes of creating effective sales materials and presentations that support the sales and partnership team’s revenue generating activities. A sales support role, the Sales Marketing Manager provides members of the sales team with data, information and creative ideas designed to excite target clients and partners about opportunities to spend advertising and sponsorships dollars with the Company. The materials developed will be used for general sales team use, individual pitches, larger Company activations, RFP responses, and custom presentations. The ideal candidate will be able to deliver integrated media proposals that position the Company to meet the business objectives of target clients and partners, while also representing the Company and our offers in a highly professional manner.

The Sales Marketing Manager will report to the Director of Sales within the broader Commercial Team. The role will require active collaboration with talented individuals within the Sales, Marketing, Creative, Content and Event groups. Such collaboration will require staying abreast of the Company’s offering calendar, digital and social properties, and event and content production capabilities, as well as available media inventory, ad product pricing/packaging, and emerging technical solutions that will influence elements that can be included in sales materials.

Specific Responsibilities

As part of the Sales team, you will be responsible for executing and facilitating pre- and post-Sales functions, including:

  • Collaborating with Sales team members to respond to RFPs with Super League’s sponsored and branded content ideas and media solutions to address prospective advertisers’ marketing and business objectives.
  • Hands-on creation of slide presentations, one-sheets, newsletters, summary reports and other sales and sponsorships materials related to prospective and ongoing brand and client partnerships.
  • Leveraging Super League’s consumer and audience data to articulate why Super League is the right media partner for prospective advertisers.
  • Being responsive to identified existing and target client needs in order to provide strategic and tactical media and partner solutions.
  • Gathering, investigating, and summarizing data and trends to inform the content within presentations and necessary sales and client reports.
  • Assisting in the preparation and follow-up for client meetings
  • Reviewing industry publications, reading sales strategy literature, and providing industry and account-specific information to sales team members that will help close deals.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years prior digital work experience; integrated marketing a plus
  • Interest in esports and the gaming industry at large
  • Previous branded content proposal creation experience at a digital media company
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • Enthusiasm about sales and partnerships as a career discipline
  • A positive approach towards day to day tasks along with a creative approach to problem-solving
  • Strong attention to detail and robust interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to create proposals with cleanly designed formats
  • Experience working with Keynote, PowerPoint, Google Slides, and Photoshop
  • Proficiency in media terminology
  • Self-starter, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, start-up environment
  • Ability to take ownership and accountability and act on goals and objectives
