The Role @ Sumo:

Our Project Management Office is expanding to deliver excellent services to our studios. As part of this growth, we are recruiting a PMO Officer to join the team. This role will support the PMO and all Sumo Development Teams by assisting the Project Development Tools Lead in providing increased Jira support.

For this role, we operate a Hybrid working model and you will need to be able to be in our Sheffield office at least once a week.

In this role you will:

  • Serve as a subject-matter expert on Jira software, fielding questions and providing hands-on support.

  • Be proactive in working with our studios to find solutions and play a pivotal role in transitioning the technical vision to success.

  • Provide customisation and development of Jira and related systems and associated procedures and process alignment.

  • Identify potential new plug-ins, including testing and creation of business cases for their use.

  • Possess the ability to understand an array of other tools including those owned and managed by partners and customers.

  • Provide training sessions and workshops.

  • Produce and maintain user guides and how-to videos for all levels of user.

  • Possess the aptitude to learn new business processes and technologies.

  • Operate in an advisory capacity and guide on best practice on all things Jira related.

  • Identify and build relationships with key stakeholders and teams to foster collaboration in working to solutions and ultimately add value.

  • Help to proactively communicate our vision, promoting the PMO and collaborate at all levels to aid in the growth and competitive advantage.

We need you to have:

  • Jira configuration experience (workflows, fields, screens, etc.).

  • Jira reporting experience (JQL queries, reporting capabilities and dashboards).

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • The ability to work closely with a range of stakeholders.

  • A balanced mix of technical and business skills.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple responsibilities and commitments concurrently.

It would be an advantage if you have:

  • Atlassian certification or a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience.

  • Jira and Confluence administration experience.

  • Experience of Microsoft Azure DevOps and other project management tools.

  • A wide and varied understanding of a range of other industry standard tools.

  • Experience in Project Management.
