The role @ Sumo

Reporting into the Payroll Supervisor, you will be tasked with ensuring the accuracy and integrity of Sumo’s payroll processes. The successful candidate will provide financial, administrative, and clerical support within the Payroll team

In Your New Role You Will

  • Liaising with the Sumo HR teams to collect and check payroll information for starters, leavers and other payroll changes
  • Payroll data entry and maintenance including staff records, overtime and pensions
  • Exporting and checking data from third party providers
  • Performing month end payroll checks and reconciliations
  • Working with various Sumo finance and payroll systems
  • Maintaining historical records (i.e. updating and/or filing documents)
  • Ad hoc duties as required assisting the Payroll Supervisor
  • Cover and support where necessary across the finance function

To Be Successful You Will Have

  • Strong Microsoft office skills particularly excel
  • Previous experience in payroll preferred but not essential
  • Experience working in a fast-paced working environment with changing priorities
  • The ability to prioritise and manage workload
  • Ability to meet deadlines

It would be great if you also have experience with:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate with others effectively and confidently
  • Strong record keeping skills
  • The ability to handle highly confidential information
