The role @ Sumo

We really excited to be expanding our Distributed Development team to support our outsourcing team. We're looking for a dedicated, smart, self-starting and extremely organised person to join us as a Junior Outsourcing Analyst to come and join our growing team at Sumo Digital.

Outsourcing is one of the key functions of the Distributed Development team, we find and work with external people and teams to help our internal studios deliver on our amazing game experiences.

It’s a great opportunity to use your existing skills get involved in a rapidly developing part of the games business and to develop a real, rewarding career with a lot of potential for growth and learning.

Within your new role your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Capturing and organising information and data, being on top of active work elements being actioned on the team and onto other departments and teams.
  • Develop analytics to make operational performance and trends visible, on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Develop reporting capability for KPIs, and track and report on Studio’s performance about DD
  • Collaborate with IT and use existing business systems to provide analytics that are capable of effective KPI reports in an efficient manner
  • Identify areas to increase efficiency and automation of processes
  • Develop and support reporting processes
  • Liaise with internal and external clients to fully understand data content
  • Gather, understand and document detailed business requirements using appropriate tools and techniques

Your secondary responsibilities would be:

  • Developing your knowledge to take on elements of Vendor sourcing and qualification, account management, Internal team project needs and stakeholder management
  • Due diligence and qualification of vendors
  • General team organisational support and research
  • Administer and curating our internal partners database/CRM solution.
  • Maintain contact and relationships with partners in our portfolio
  • Following up with process and communications with teams and active vendors
  • Liaison with other service teams in the business, including Finance, IT, HR

To be successful in your new role, you will need:

  • Be a responsible, detail-oriented problem solver with a desire to develop in the industry
  • Have demonstrable organisation skills and can apply them in a software-based environment
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with problem-solving aptitude
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools – especially advanced skills in MS Excel
  • Have the ability to work independently, but also be part of a team and have excellent communication and people skills
  • Are comfortable working with a remote team and customers, using collaboration software, video conferencing, phone calls with people around the world
  • Formal or informal customer service skills
  • Have excellent communication and listening skills, with an appreciation of context, culture, and a sense of the appropriate
  • A curious mind and a desire to grow in a technical, creative industry.
