The role @ Sumo

We are currently on the lookout for a Head of IT Operations, this person will take ownership of the IT Operations function to ensure end user services are provided, meeting the requirements of the business.

Areas include Service Management, IT equipment procurement and provisioning, onboarding of new starters and projects

In your new role you will:

  • Manage IT support teams – approx. 15 people
  • Ensure tickets raised for the IT team are dealt with in a timely fashion meeting agreed SLA’s
  • Provide reporting on SLA’s and KPI’s
  • Manage the procurement, configuration and deployment of IT end user equipment and software
  • Ensure end user security compliance requirements are met
  • Work with project teams and 3rd parties to ensure new projects are onboarded in a timely and secure manner
  • Develop ITIL based processes to implement continual service improvement
  • Manage budget to ensure procurement is taking place at agreed times and budgets are being met
  • Manage 3rd party vendors to ensure we are getting the best service and value add from all partners

To be successful you will:

  • Good knowledge of IT systems including end user devices, software, Office 365
  • Experience of providing end user support in a fast paced, diverged environment
  • Experience of implementing and developing ITIL based processes
  • Experience of managing teams across multiple locations
  • Experience of managed budgets
  • Experience of managing 3rd party vendors
  • Strong people management skills – setting objectives and creating development plans
  • Good negotiation skills
