The role @ Sumo
This is a brand new role to Sumo Digital and a very exciting opportunity for somebody to head up the IT infrastructure team ensuring IT systems are resilient, performant and cost effective. Within your new role you will work with the Group IT Director and wider business to develop and implement the IT Infrastructure strategy.
In your new role you will:
- Lead team of server, storage, and network engineers – prioritizing tasks, setting objectives, carrying out performance objectives and recruitment as necessary
- Ensure the infrastructure supporting Sumo digital systems is resilient and performant, meeting the needs of the business
- Ensure systems are secure and built with security by design
- Assist in the definition and management of the IT budget
- Assist in the development and implementation of the Sumo Group IT strategy
- Build strong customer relationships with internal Sumo customers
- Manage vendors and maintenance agreements
To be successful you will have:
- Experience building and managing teams of IT Engineers, ideally globally
- Excellent knowledge of all elements of IT infrastructure including server, storage, security and networking
- Experience of supporting global disparate infrastructure systems
- Experience of assisting and implementing am IT strategy
- Excellent communications skills – written and verbal
- Excellent stake holder management
- Program management experience
- Budgetary management experience
