The role @ Lab 42
Lab42 Games are looking for an Executive Producer to join the studio. In this role you will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of talented producers in a studio that completed 9 game projects over the last year. You must be genuinely passionate about production and have the knowledge, expertise and experience to both manage complex development planning and to drive positive changes within the department.
In your new role you will:
- Manage, mentor and assist a team of producers responsible for multiple game development projects
- Research and recommend new production and development initiatives to improve performance and efficiency
- Manage communication of project progress to the Development Director, internal senior management team and external stakeholders
- Review and approve all production related milestone deliverables before submission to clients
- Manage studio wide production resource allocation
- Assist production staff in identifying and resolving conflict between schedule, budget, and scope goals.
- Coach and mentor all production staff
- Be accountable for production direction and decision making
- Assist directly with production on projects when required
- Continuously assess risk and keep scope of projects in line with budget and schedule.
- Manage day to day communication of matters regarding schedule, capacity, change and risk whilst making recommendations accordingly
To be successful you will have:
- Proven experience in senior production roles
- Multiple shipped products including full cycle project responsibility (AAA or console experience preferred)
- Experience managing multiple production teams
- Excellent knowledge of Agile, waterfall, and other project common project management methodologies
- Strong knowledge of common project management tools (Jira, TFS, Azure Dev-Ops)
- Good knowledge of task tracking systems and game industry-standard software tools
- Self-organized and proactive
