In this newly created Community Manager role at Sumo Leamington, on our very first exciting own IP project, you will be responsible for taking our studio vision of “we make you look forward to tomorrow” out to a new community of players. Your ultimate goal will be building a positive relationship between developers and players, engaging with the community and advocating for our game.
The ideal candidate will be a social-media savvy, computer literate specialist with a strong understanding of the power of communities within the gaming sphere. You will have excellent communication skills, and a love for gaming and community building. You will be creative, outgoing and friendly, with bags of passion and enthusiasm.
In your new role you will:
Immerse yourself in the world of your game, learning how to speak your community's language.
Take ownership of your game's community and be their advocate.
Work closely with game developers and publishers, being the link between them and the community.
Engage with your game's community of players on forums and other social media sites.
Identify pain points and monitor community sentiment.
Respond to community feedback in a timely manner.
Compile reports for and work closely with the development team.
Create inventive social media posts and community events.
Enjoy the creative freedom to find new and exciting ways to grow and delight your community.
Build and maintain connections and share knowledge with other community managers across the group.
To be successful you will have:
2+ years in a community management or social media related role.
A passion for games and a positive the industry culture.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A solid understanding of standard Microsoft Office programs.
Strong knowledge of social media platforms including Forums, Twitter, Reddit and Twitch.
Experience streaming and engaging with an online audience.
Some technical knowledge of streaming setups and logistics is desirable.
