We're looking for a Network Provisioning Engineer to help build the next phase of our global infrastructure. You’ll collaborate with our Site Operations, Infrastructure and Network Reliability Engineering Teams to provide telecom network guidance and direction for circuits and provisioning on our internal global backbone network.

What you'll be doing:

  • Provision, design, maintain, and enhance Subspace networks, circuits and equipment
  • Provide support for escalations involving routine provisioning tasks including: datacenter deployment, circuit turnup (including BGP routing), and interconnect configuration.
  • Turn up and configure new server and network capacity across Subspace’s globally distributed infrastructure
  • Manage and ensure live connectivity from contract to circuit
  • Develop requirements for automated tooling to streamline provisioning work

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent technical experience
  • 3-5 years in a Data Center position within critical facilities
  • General knowledge of Linux Operating systems / comfortable with command line
  • Experience with troubleshooting server hardware and network infrastructure
  • Experience building rack elevations and working with cabling standards
  • General understanding of electrical and mechanical systems used in a Data Center environment (UPS, Transformers, HVAC, etc.)
  • Experience in maintenance and monitoring infrastructure systems
  • Ability to safely lift and move a minimum of fifty (50) pounds
  • Ability to navigate and work alone in an un-supervised environment
  • Ability to travel globally 50% of the time (post Covid)
