Job Description

Working under the direction of the Creative Director and Senior Designers your responsibilities will include creation of design documentation, game balancing, level white box prototyping using 3D game engines and the creation and management of game scripts and data. Because the nature of the job is collaborative, you will be given a variety of tasks based on the stage of a games development and be expected to work closely with multi discipline teams.

Requirement

  • Able to produce concise and detailed design documentation to describe key features of the game.
  • Ability to present out ideas, concepts, and features to the team.
  • General understanding of the game creation process.
  • Ideally at least one published Console/PC game.
  • Knowledge of level editors (ideally Unreal Engine, Unity or Lumberyard).
  • Knowledge of documentation and presentation programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and 2D art packages).
  • Great communication skills.
  • Excellent and wide game knowledge
  • Able to adapt to changes in design direction and development processes.
  • Ability to convey ideas visually will be a plus.

Relevant Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Game Design or other relevant training
  • Experience in a professional game studio environment
  • Experience of shipping a game on either Unreal, Unity or Lumberyard a plus.
