Experienced, multi-faceted digital and brand marketer, able to develop and execute overall marketing strategy for KontrolFreek, as well as, individual global marketing campaigns, NPI launches and ongoing consumer efforts, acting as a liaison between Brand/Product Management, Operations and Creative teams.
The ideal candidate is a demand generation machine who has experience across multiple mediums strategizing, implementing and optimizing marketing campaigns, so extensive knowledge of digital ecosystems (website, social media, online marketplaces, web shop) while also being skilled at activating across all ATL and BTL channels is imperative.
Managerial responsibility for 6 or more direct reports, leading all subject matter experts including social media, Ecom, copywriting/content, digital ad buying, influencers, PR and CRM.
The Director of Marketing will be expert at strategic thinking and also tactical implementation across a wide variety of areas including esports, influencers, video game franchises and multiple consumer segments.
This role will report to the General Manager of KontrolFreek and will interact with Global Marketing, Region Marketing, Sales, Operations, Creative and external agency partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead development of global marketing strategies and holistic global marketing programs with creative big ideas, providing guidance to all subject matter experts for cohesive, omnichannel activation
- Own the demand-generation, customer acquisition and revenue growth of KontrolFreek’s direct-to-consumer channels (marketing, kontrolfreek.com, marketplaces), and manage the appropriate personnel and resources to achieve the highest-level business objectives for each channel
- Define a compelling end-to-end consumer journey and constantly refine it to keep it relevant, effective and at the forefront of communications
- Own the marketing budget, driving efficiency of marketing spend and operating costs across relevant channels
- Act as the key liaison between country level marketers and global marketing, facilitating the gathering and sharing of best practices across regions
- Ensure robust marketing programs and tools for all New Product Introductions (NPI) and marketing campaigns including trackers on NPI performance at retail and on etail sites
- Lead subject matter experts in the development of annual plans with focus on KPIs that will deliver the business objectives of KontrolFreek
- Develop quarterly marketing playbooks for use by Sales teams for customer activation
- Manages day-to-day relationship with external ad agency partners, project manages/coordinates the development and delivery of projects across all functions
- Works with relevant subject matter experts on the SteelSeries side to ensure synergy and collaboration across the brands
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or similar degree
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in holistic digital and brand marketing
- Experience in gaming (preferably experience in gaming peripherals brand management but minimally a gamer him/herself)
- Experience activating esports teams and influencers
- Experience managing large team of direct reports
