The Pipeline TD will design, develop, and support proprietary tools that enable our team to create larger, more detailed, and immersive worlds for internally produced IP. The Pipeline TD will also be responsible for ensuring that externally developed toolsets are cleanly integrated into our content creation pipeline and consistently cultivating efficiency in creative processes across the studio.

Job responsibilities:

  • Understand the needs of content creation teams and translate them into intelligently scoped development projects
  • Analyze and correct defects in Python tooling, source control management, and game engine editors
  • Maintain proprietary toolsets across multiple live projects
  • Study tools and workflows in existing productions to see how they can be optimized
  • Improve the development pipeline by designing and implementing new systems
  • Collaborate with Technical Artists and other creative teams to create automated solutions for complicated tasks
  • Provide support for team members who encounter problems with DCC software, source control, and game engines
  • Develop documentation for creative teams to reference when using custom toolsets
  • Collaborate with IT staff to meet studio infrastructure requirements Qualifications Experience with one or more common programming languages used in game development or DCC tool development such as Python, C#, C++, Java, etc
