VP of User Experience

As Aim Lab's VP of User Experience, you will design and optimize the player experience and create intuitive, player-focused experiences for our millions of players around the world. You will work on ambitious and complex projects -- and product areas that encompass multiple features and span across teams. You will work from concept through the product development lifecycle and collaborate with other teams to create cohesive, player-first experiences. You will be trusted to develop user experiences for all aspects of our game across PC, console, and mobile platforms, and report directly to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build a world class UX team that balances amazing user experiences against business and user needs
  • Set UX goals by partnering with CEO and Product and Data Analytics teams
  • Understand our audiences and create user experiences that exceeds their expectations and needs
  • Mentoring Design leader and ensuring their growth
  • Partner with Product management and engineering to align teams and ensure consistency
  • Provide teams with the right UX designs at the right time (e.g., Strategy articulation, discovery/ user research results, journey maps, wireframes, flow mockups and prototypes) to meet product goals and to guide understanding
  • Break down experiences thoughtfully for teams to be able to iterate incrementally
  • Help implement prototypes (with engineering support) to brainstorm concepts and validate with players
  • Lead UX design efforts across multiple workstreams, focusing on the interaction design and player flows for these areas
  • Collaborate across teams and channels to design large-scale products for players
  • Work with the Design team to ensure a seamless visual identity across products
  • Manage Agency Partners and Contractor relationships

Ideal Skills

  • 5+ years of experience (depending on degree) designing digital product experiences, games as a service/ live services, and platforms as a User Experience Designer
  • Familiarity with design with Unity Experience with industry standard digital design and prototyping tools
  • Passion for gaming
