Square-Enix West is seeking a driven and innovative senior solutions architect to join our growing team and help generate solutions to address and meet various requirements and business needs. In this role, you will work on a variety of projects and will play a key part in making sure that end results are designed according to the standards set forth and created within the organization.

Requirements

Key Deliverables:

  • Responsible for assisting in the establishment of an IT Architecture practice, and the adoption of an architecture and standards methodology across the organization.
  • Ensures that the technology architecture and technical strategies remain current with the business goals, and directs the development of architecture activities and projects, while aligning with current and long-term business and technology goals.
  • Partner with various business stakeholders and technology leaders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and system designs
  • Continually researching current and emerging technologies and proposing changes where needed.
  • Assures solutions are not only a fit for specific teams or workloads but also closely align with the global standards and guidelines benefitting the larger organization.
  • Provide leadership and expertise in the development of standards, architectural governance, design patterns, and practices
  • Influences changes to standards when necessary.
  • Present and defend solutions/proposals to IT and Business Leaders from Mid Management to CXOs
  • Work closely with project management teams to successfully monitor progress of initiatives
  • Provide detailed specifications or blueprints for proposed solutions
  • Participate in managing external vendors
  • Guiding developers and operation teams in case of an issue;

Knowledge & Experience:

Essential:

  • Proficient in one or more cloud-based technologies
  • Virtualization, containerization and orchestration experience
  • Devops best practices
  • Solid background in network and infrastructure
  • Experience building online client facing architectures.
  • Blueprint and architectural design creation

Desirable:

  • Knowledge and/or experience related to TOGAF or another EA framework.
  • Security competencies and experience working alongside an InfoSec team.

Competencies, Skills & Attributes:

Essential:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Self-motivated team player with great attention to details, superb organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize workload
  • Ability to analyse, solve problems, and work well under pressure
  • Experience working independently and without direct supervision
  • Proven track record in delivering high value services to a business while maximizing the ROI.
  • Willing to work outside standard business hours
  • Ensuring user experience is considered in the design.

Desirable:

  • Medium to large size company experience
