We are looking for a dynamic and agile Technical Producer to manage our Core Technology team that is responsible for the technology that is shared across all our products and projects on multiple platforms and app stores.

You will manage a large software engineering team that is responsible for the technical direction of our shared frameworks and libraries, that is in the depths of a big technology transition within the studio as we work towards the next generation of Football Manager, while also supporting the existing technology in a transition period.

The team has multiple different specialties, i.e., programming languages, graphics, platforms (desktop, console, mobile), frameworks, tools, backend, and testing & building.

You will need to have strong people management skills to get the most out of a very talented team, and you must be able to speak and understand the technical language of the team on a high level.

You will be working very closely with our Technical Director to manage our technical requirements, plans, and road maps, and maintenance of technical initiatives and direction while responding to changing business plans and requirements.

Our plans are ambitious, and we move fast. We require a team player with a can-do attitude, a hunger to make an impact in a growing Studio as well as a good motivator who is comfortable working in a demanding environment.


  • Work closely with the Technical Director and engineering teams to coordinate and manage requirements, plans, and scheduling to drive our technology and tool initiatives forward.

  • Work with the Studio Director, Development Director, and team leads to produce realistic schedules and milestone plans for our technical engineering teams.

  • Work closely with the production team as well as senior management on development status and collaborate with discipline directors and leads to solve problems and mitigate risk.

  • Identify, communicate, and solve bottlenecks that may prevent teams from achieving the determined goals within the required milestones.

  • Provide data to ensure project requirements, goals, objectives, milestones, and deliverables are achievable.

  • Own the operational aspects of project planning and development, including reporting, risk assessment and management, capacity planning, and resource management.

  • Review and improve processes and tools to improve quality, efficiency, and team effectiveness.

  • Oversee technical hiring, training, and development, holding regular one-on-one meetings, setting objectives, managing the people in the team, and looking after their welfare and development.

  • Provide leadership, encouragement, and mentorship to a creative and diverse team.

  • Representative of the Line Managers cross-studio team to coordinate studio leads and input and participate in developing studio culture, priorities, and policies.

  • Establish and maintain SEGA cross-studio relationships with peers to share experiences and opportunities.


  • 3+ years of industry experience in a production role for software engineering teams building large software products.

  • Excellent experience and understanding of games development and its processes across multiple platforms, including identifying and resolving dependencies and bottlenecks and identifying and proactively solving problems.

  • Solid technical knowledge with an ability to discuss topics with developers on a high level.

  • Strong people management skills with experience working with large, cross-discipline teams.

  • Exceptional organisation and time management skills with the ability to self-manage time and workload.

  • An ability to support multiple projects at the same time, working with different project leaders, each with unique needs and requirements.

  • Experience in working in rapid development cycles, quickly adapt to change, communicate this and align the team.

  • Proficient with scheduling tools such as Jira.

  • Strong knowledge, experience, and understanding of agile, SCRUM and Kanban methodologies, as well as an understanding of waterfall processes.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
