We are #OnTheHunt and looking to build our team of storytellers! Splyce is on the hunt for an energetic Senior Video Editor to help drive a narrative around our pro team coverage. This is a position located in Rochester, NY. Applicants will work under the guidance of the Head of Content and Production Manager.

The ideal candidate for this position must have extensive experience in video editing and content development.

Responsibilities

  • Edit shot footage and captured game assets to create public facing video trailers, teasers, short-form documentary features, narrative or other promotional media content.
  • Work with various assets, effects and processes like marrying graphics, motion assets, video looks, effects or audio to elevate content.
  • Be highly organized and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Be versatile and able to use imagery, music, dialogue sound effects and placeholder assets. to build towards a finished product.
  • Be able to update and organize footage, generate reviewable files and output for finishing/conform
  • Edit with music to create content that excites, informs and tells a story.
  • Maintain content quality under condensed schedules.
  • Prepare projects and handle final deliveries of necessary formats.
  • Prepare projects for archival and maintain internal project databases.

REQUIREMENTS

  • US-based or valid US working paper.
  • 3+ years experience with Non-Linear Editing Software (After Effects, Premiere and/or Final Cut Pro).
  • 3+ years experience with Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Experience with storytelling including long-form and short-form content.
  • Experience in developing teasers and sizzle reels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Knowledge and usage of social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
  • The capacity to work in a team with the rest of the company.
  • A strong sense of responsibility and drive. We want someone who is proactive and creates ways to better Splyce.
