At Splash Damage, we’re dedicated to crafting team-based multiplayer games that ignite friendships as much as they do healthy competition and teamwork.
Our teams celebrated the launch of Gears Tactics earlier this year, and we’re currently developing Outcasters for Stadia along with several unannounced titles.
As an UnrealEngine focused studio, we're excited to be transitioning our teams to the latest in UE5 technology and we're looking for skilled and passionate developers to help us drive this.

The Role
Splash Damage is looking for a hardworking Associate Environment Artist to help us build stunning and inspiring environments for upcoming titles. Working within our multi-discipline art team, you will be building worlds while collaborating with Art direction, Design and Tech-Art to ensure the maps are fun to play, perform well and look visually impressive.
The project, Outcasters, is now in its live phase, and will be building more content whilst focusing its art style.
Responsibilities
- Build playful, appealing environments
- Build environmental props with basic animation
- Work with the Art Leads, other artists, and other disciplines
- Maintain a consistent quality and art style across work
- Maintain game play and performance requirements
- Help maintain quality and efficiency within the team
- A strong sense of autonomy
Essential Skills and Experience
- Working knowledge of standard 3D Art software package – Maya or Max preferred
- Working knowledge of texture creation - Substance Painter / Photoshop
- Good understanding of UE4 pipelines, such as mesh importing and set up, material creation and scene editing, alongside a basic knowledge of engine budgets and constraints
- Basic understanding of art fundamentals and design (including understanding of composition and colour) to influence mood and storytelling
- Good communication skills
- Friendly and outgoing attitude
- Ability to receive and act upon feedback in a professional manner
- Hardworking and have a strong passion to learn and improve as an artist
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience using Zbrush
- Basic understanding of simple skeletons & skin weights
- PBR workflow understanding
- Sketching and painting skills for quick idea communication
Portfolio Should Demonstrate
- Knowledge of Modelling, Mapping and Texturing
- Creativity, particularly in relation to world-building
- A willingness to tackle a wide range of projects in 3D
