A great opportunity for a student who is interested in gaming and esports, the LAN Center Manager will oversee SPIRE I/A's on campus LAN center during evening and weekend events. Estimated at 30/hours a week to start, the LAN Center Manager will work closely with SPIRE's esports coaching staff to deliver quality community experiences to core gamers in the local Geneva, Ohio area.

Estimated hours Monday- Friday 5pm to 9pm, Saturday- Noon to 10pm.

On a day to day basis you will help gamers trouble shoot PC problems, manage in center events, work closely with local high school educators to deliver compelling events that help engage students, keep software updated, report hardware issues, and manage brackets for community events geared towards high schoolers and their families.

You will need the ability to work with customers and troubleshoot problems in real time and need to be comfortable working with casual and competitive gamers alike.

While these core functions are part of the job, there will be other opportunities work with the SPIRE esports team if you wish to go beyond the day to day operations, other things that will be taking place on campus include tournaments, broadcasting, the full time SPIRE Academy program, as well as potential research opportunities around player behaviors and health.
