Our goal is to make it easy to find, review, and buy the gaming gear other gamers in your niche care about. We are part of Create, a venture studio led by Mark Gerson and backed by 20 of NYC’s most successful founders.
About The Role
Spec is looking for an experienced community builder to join our early stage business. As a key part of our community team, you will work directly with the founder of the company to implement creative growth tactics and interact with enthusiastic communities across various platforms. If you’re an entrepreneurial self-starter who loves gaming hardware and wants to make immediate impact on a growing business, come join us!
Responsibilities Include:
- Reach out and partner with online communities in the PC enthusiast and Gaming space.
- Grow the company Discord server and guide conversations with community members
- Work with Spec team on creating a growth roadmap and try different experiments to build a better understanding of our users.
- Build and maintain a social media content calendar
- Other growth tasks as needed
About You
- Be familiar with major social media networks and understand best practices for each platform. (bonus if you have experience managing and growing social media accounts!)
- Familiar with Discord platform and communities (bonus if you have managed a Discord community before!)
- Experience creating social media assets (e.g. images, video, memes, etc)
- Great communicator with solid copywriting ability
- Passionate about gaming and highly active in the gaming community
- Comfortable working independently with a remote team.
- Self starter and comfortable with the startup environment
