We are currently looking for a new Writer to join our Game Writing & Localization department! This is an exciting opportunity to work in a central team, alongside other Writers and Localization staff on a broad & diverse range of projects and games.

In this role you will:

Create, proofread and polish English ingame text and microcopy in collaboration with Production, Game Design & Development teams.
Write dialogue and flavor text for story- and narrative based games & features.
Collaborate with Marketing and Community Management teams to create engaging copy for creatives, campaigns and social media.
Perform linguistic quality assurance of English texts for in-game content (on-device as well as in the text database or localization tool).
Coordinate English text readiness and translation assignments with the localization team.
Create & maintain glossaries and style guides for allocated games/projects.
Maintain copywriting & proofreading task tracking through JIRA and other reporting platforms as required.
Research and implement best-in-class English copy & narrative style by game genre and target audience.

This is you:

Degree level education or equivalent experience in: Creative Writing, Journalism, Linguistics, English Philology,... any field that includes excellent writing and a critical eye for copy.
Proven experience as a copy editor, copywriter, content, game or UX writer, preferably in mobile/social gaming or related media.
Strong creative writing skills, and above all a passion for mobile games - as you will need to live and breathe the games you work on to excel in this role.
Ability to work independently, proactively and manage deadline expectations within the team and with stakeholders.
Strong team player with a supportive attitude in a multilingual/multicultural environment.
Native level fluency in spoken and written US English, Spanish proficiency a plus.

Nice to haves:

Understanding of mobile game design principles & development practices.
Awareness of localization dependencies on English content, style, context & cultures.
Ability to familiarize quickly with new and existing games through research & active gameplay.
Experience working in a transversal team across a variety of projects and with multiple stakeholders.
Proficient with navigating through JIRA boards, Google Docs/Sheets and Confluence platforms.
