Job Description
Socialpoint are delighted to be hiring an experienced 2D Concept Artist, who is highly proficient in environment art to help with the visual development of new Socialpoint IP’s.
Our ideal candidate is a highly creative, versatile and passionate artist who is able to work with others to create impactful art, all within the game requirements and technical constraints.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop and transform interesting ideas into inspiring and beautiful concepts for environments and gameplay artwork
- Follow and develop briefings under an art direction
- Maintaining the visual style of the game
- Pursue a high quality of both aesthetics and visual storytelling
- Participate actively with the design and art teams to create unique and innovative solutions for visual problems.
- Work closely with 3D artists to achieve the best look and feel for the game aesthetics, both receiving and giving feedback.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
- High level of English, both written and spoken (English is our official language!)
- 5+ years of experience in the gaming industry
- Extensive knowledge of art fundamentals such as composition, layout, lighting, color theory, visual storytelling, silhouette and shapes
- Able to create mood boards as references intended to evoke or project a particular style.
- Expert knowledge of photoshop and a high capacity to learn new tools
- Highly proactive, organized and self driven
