Snail Games USA is looking for a Senior or Lead engineer to join a core dev team in spearheading continued development on a released AAA title which is currently live in Early Access. In addition to working with the other members of the core team, you will be coordinating with multiple outsourcing groups in a remote work environment to establish a product technical roadmap that helps deliver feature improvements on the game as it moves from Early Access to its 1.0 release.

Candidates must be capable of working remotely and solid communication skills are a must. A successful candidate will have a track record of building good engineering best practices and building value into the experiences they deliver, and examples of mentoring and team leadership while working remotely are a huge win.

Snail Gamesโ€™ office is located in sunny Culver City! During these unprecedented times remote work will be supported but this is ultimately an on-site position. This position is a 6 Month Contract-To-Hire role.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Design, Art, and Production teams to develop Technical Roadmap.
  • Create scalable, maintainable systems and enumerate, and drive down technical debt.
  • Create tools to empower Art and Design Teams.
  • Implement and Deliver Features in UE4/C++.

Requirements:

  • Strong C++ Development skills.
  • 5+ Years Experience in Technical Game Development role.
  • 3+ Years Leadership/Mentoring Experience.
  • At least one shipped title.
  • Have a home machine capable of running the project during the initial contract period (i7 12 Core ~3.2Ghz/64GB RAM/1TB Dedicated SSD)

Bonus:

  • Experience working in Unreal.
  • Experience with Console Development (Xbox and PS4).
  • Experience with Gameplay/Server programming.
