(Closed) Social Media
For a long time, we've hobbled along and tried to make do without having a specific person in this role. Lately it's become clear to us that we need to add someone to our team to add an injection of energy into our social media efforts.
We are looking for a social savvy individual who can spearhead and re-galvanize our neglected social media properties. You will be in charge of coming up with content strategy and ensuring that our channels are constantly updated. Example tasks / skills for this role would include:
Coming up with a full content strategy on a 2 week cycle basis for our Twitter, Instagram and Youtube social media accounts
This involves planning out exactly how many times we will be posting, at what times we would be posting and what content we would be posting. You would be in charge of building a backlog of content that we can use to fill the schedule. You will need to talk to our team and find out what specific events and information need promoting.
Having basic graphics design and video editing skills
This does not mean we expect you to make posters and edit a movie for us... but you should be able to remix our art assets and create catchy graphics and short videos that hit the mark with our target audience. Part of your job will involve creating new content.
Encouraging audience participating with engaging content and occasional giveaways and content
Your job is judged by how well you do in bringing new users to Slips and how well our social media accounts do in terms of engagement and followers. We will entrust you with a small budget to do giveaways and contests but the ideal candidate will know that good content trumps paid engagement.
Finding and produce "low hanging fruit" content such as a memes that can be added to our evergreen media library and recycled
We don't have to make new content all the time, sometimes we can rely on tried and trusted memes and evergreen articles and videos. Having a consistent schedule is more important and your role will be extremely important in creating content that we can push out consistently. We'll provide you with the software and tools to find content, you will need to make the final decision on whats makes the cut in our library.
Finding influencers and hubs of the community, engage with them to build relationships.
As a public face of Slips, it will also be important for you to find out who the biggest influencers in our business will be and where our community hangs out. We would like you to join those communities, represent us in the best light and engage with the influencers / build relationships with them. The ideal candidate will be about to seek our new opportunities and partnerships on social media.
We expect that this position will become full-time and paid once we have secured funding.
