What We’re Looking For:

Skillz Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Specialist will help support all internal stakeholders with their purchasing requirements. This role will drive stakeholder engagement and compliance throughout the procurement process ensuring projects align with corporate goals, procurement policy, and drive the most value for the organization. The ideal candidate will be able to cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders to better understand their objectives and drive thoughtful negotiations to execute against business strategies. This resource should have great project management capabilities, be self-motivated, and be focused on driving return on investment. This role is part of our FP&A department, will report directly to the Head of Procurement, and will be responsible for supporting stakeholders across the organization from Engineering to Finance & Operations.

What You Will Do:

  • Support Skillz approach to and execution of strategic sourcing: running sourcing events, leading negotiation, and driving targeted cost reduction and compliance processes; strategizing with internal stakeholders to meet their purchasing needs while prioritizing ROI and cost efficiency.
  • Lead projects from intake to execution ensuring stakeholder compliance throughout the procurement process and within policy
  • Lead multiple work streams and/or project teams to execute against project plans.
  • Analyze spend patterns to identify opportunities and curate the procurement project pipeline
  • Support the senior leadership weekly deal review process for key projects
  • Drive continuous improvement in the procurement process and influence policy
  • Conduct best practice learning sessions with stakeholders to build rapport and improve organizational understanding of procurement processes
  • Support selection and implementation of procurement tools and technology

Your Skillz:

  • B.S. in Finance, procurement, or related field
  • 5-7+ years procurement, strategic sourcing, sales, or contract negotiation experience
