## Description

At Side, we work alongside some of the world's leading developers and innovators to create immersive interactive experiences that combine cutting-edge technology with exceptional user engagement.

This project is focused on the development of a next-generation **first-person VR flight simulation experience** built in **Unreal Engine 5**. Combining realistic simulation systems, immersive environments, and intuitive interactions, the project aims to deliver highly authentic aviation experiences that place users at the centre of complex real-world scenarios. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you'll help shape virtual environments, prototype interactions, and refine user experiences that balance realism, usability, and immersion. This is an opportunity to contribute to a sophisticated simulation project that pushes the boundaries of real-time technology and interactive design.

We're looking for a Technical Designer with experience in UE5, VR, first-person gameplay, and simulation titles to drive the technical implementation of gameplay systems and a focus on UI design.

RequirementsWhat You Will Be Doing- Working in a multidisciplinary team, including designers, engineers, and artists, you will collaborate closely to develop and implement engaging gameplay systems and features within Unreal Engine 5, with a focus on UI design and implementation.
- Prototype, iterate, and refine mechanics, interactions, and player experiences, helping shape the moment-to-moment gameplay of a highly immersive VR flight simulation.
- Create and maintain technical design documentation, visual scripting solutions, and gameplay frameworks that support efficient content creation and scalability.
- Identify design and implementation challenges, working across disciplines to develop practical, performant solutions that meet both creative and technical goals.

What We're Looking For- Strong experience as a Technical Designer on Unreal Engine projects, with a solid understanding of UI design.
- Advanced knowledge of Unreal Engine 5, including Blueprint scripting and the ability to bridge the gap between design and engineering teams.
- Experience prototyping and implementing gameplay features from concept through to production, with a focus on usability, player experience, and iteration.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams and contribute to technical decision-making.
- Experience developing VR titles and an understanding of the unique design, interaction, and performance considerations associated with immersive experiences.
- Exposure to flight simulation, vehicle gameplay, or other complex systemic gameplay projects.
