The Executive Director of Sportsbook & Interactive Gaming is responsible for the overall direction and management of all activities related to the casino’s sportsbooks and online gaming. This role is responsible for ensuring the effective management of the day-to-day sportsbook operations as well as ensure the effective coordination of sports wagering operations, service delivery and support, issue resolution, ongoing operational performance monitoring, and management across three properties with Seneca Gaming Corporation. This leader will head up and grow the sportsbook & interactive gaming division with responsibility for the control and management of the retail sportsbook and online sportsbook when available. This position is responsible for all interactive gaming products and services across Seneca Gaming Corporation’s portfolio of casino properties, as well as the development of innovative offerings for the future of gaming. This position owns the Budget and P&L of all the verticals in this gaming category, which includes Mobile Gaming, Mobile On-Premise Gaming, Sports Wagering (Retail/Online/Mobile) Social Gaming, iGaming, Skill-Based Gaming, VR and eSports. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.

Position Requirements

Education/Experience:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older upon employment
  • Bachelor’s degree required with an emphasis on gaming operations or similar field required
  • MBA or Master’s degree preferred
  • Ten (10) years’ experience in sports betting/sports product experience with five (5) of those years in a Director role or higher in a similar field
  • Must have strong knowledge of sports betting and sports
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret complicated documents such as technical journals, financial and statistical reports and legal documents
  • Extremely commercially aware with a strategic mind, identifying the most important business opportunities and delivering the solutions
  • Able to clearly define and communicate business vision & strategy to the sports betting team
  • Growth and experimental mindset; will have proven experience of driving growth
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of the sports betting space
  • Extensive experience gained in a managerial operations role(s) in a customer facing business
  • Experienced in developing and implementing operations strategies, processes and structures
  • Ability to apply a holistic/end-to-end approach to operations
  • Proven track record of delivering against targets;
  • Must possess a consultative approach with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to present information to top management, public groups and/or our regulators
  • Proven people-development skills and an ability to motivate others
  • Excellent understanding of IT, technical support and its business implications
  • A passion for sport

  • Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees
