POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Market Analyst, you’ll play a key role in using sales figures to project product demand, making recommendations to the business planning team and wider management structure.

You’ll collaborate with the Business Planning, Consumer Insights, Searchlight, Product Development, EMEA Sales and Marketing teams to provide sales forecasts and pricing analysis at the product level, maximising our sales forecast accuracy by using external and internal data streams. You’ll also support the publishing team and internal studios by delivering analysis on games industry market trends on a regular basis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and forecast based on statistical analysis of sales history, market and trade intelligence
  • Be a key member of strategic forecasting meetings and the product planning group, and present forecast methodologies and findings to the stakeholders
  • Maintain market trends reports on various topics e.g. sales performances, publisher performance, genres, platforms, developers, new business and territories, etc.
  • Monitor and maintain hardware forecast and other digital forecasts reports
  • Help in the preparation of company presentations for internal and external parties
  • Help in the development of a strategic forecasting tools
  • Validation of product projections on a weekly and full year basis
  • Partner with sales teams and Pillars (studios) on product launch planning
  • Work closely with the consumer research division to ensure the follow up of upcoming internal titles

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Experience of working in a retail or digital sales business analyst role with a consumer products retailer or supplier. You will be able to confidently demonstrate your experience of working with Sales/Marketing teams to gather data, analyse it and present it to various stakeholders
  • Knowledge and interest in the video games industry / interest in new business models (F2P, Digital, subscription, etc.)
  • Expert at MS Excel e.g. PivotTables, Macros, Advanced Functions
  • Proven experience in using database management tools e.g. Business Objects
  • Experienced in the use of the MS Office & data visualization tools (mainly Powerpoint, Excel, Tableau)
  • Proven experience in developing business management reports
  • Confidence, with the ability to influence key decision makers by using business knowledge and statistical information
  • Very high attention to detail and data input accuracy
  • High level of planning and organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative
  • Proactive communication skills, and the ability to build effective relationships both internally and externally
  • You’ll enjoy developing new systems and processes
  • You’re a starter-finisher… you like to see projects through to the end and takes ownership

Desirable

  • Data cleaning & Database structuring/querying (SQL) skills
  • Tableau and other data manipulation/visualization software skills
  • Knowledge of inventory management/forecasting
  • PowerBI knowledge and skills
