Company Overview

Two Point Studios was formed in early 2016 to create accessible but deep simulation games that didn’t take themselves too seriously - we call them little people games. In 2018, the fruit of our loins came forth and Two Point Hospital was born into the world to much acclaim. We are now part of the SEGA family and we’re loving it. We are keen to push forward with our plans to create a world of little people games in Two Point County and to grow its reach beyond the PC. We’re excited and ambitious and we need someone to come on board and help us realise this vision.

About The Job

We are looking for an experienced, competent programmer to lead console development on Two Point Hospital, and our other upcoming sim management games. Ideally you’ll have deep development experience across all current-gen consoles. Experience communicating with platform holders will be very beneficial, as will experience with CPU and GPU optimisation. We’re thinking over 8 years’ experience, but we would accept fewer for very talented individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Own console development on all non-PC platforms
  • Communicate with SEGA and platform holders
  • Ensure compliance with platform TRCs
  • Manage optimisation efforts for code and content to provide the best experience on each platform
  • Create elegant, maintainable and robust code in Unity and C#
  • Work in an agile team, taking responsibility for planning and breaking down features into tasks

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of Unity and C#
  • 8 years’ game industry experience
  • History of shipped high quality games
  • Experience across all current-gen consoles (Switch, Xbox One and PS4)
  • Good working knowledge of platform TRCs
  • All the typical programming skills: source control, code architecture, debugging, testing, CPU/GPU/memory performance optimisation
  • All the typical soft skills: problem solving, teamwork, communication, organisation, time management, self-motivation, desire to learn
  • Of course, a love for games
