Job Description

The Tax Assistant Manager will be part of the team responsible for all Tax related matters for Sea’s Brazil entities and to ensure that internal processes are in compliance with statutory requirements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong Tax Compliance knowledge across Direct Tax, Indirect Tax and Transfer Pricing matters, and possess the ability to work in a fast-paced and hands-on environment.

  • Assist the team in all Tax planning and compliance in direct tax, indirect tax and transfer pricing matters for group of companies in Brazil
  • Ensure the compliance of local tax requirements. This includes review or prepare tax returns, where appropriate
  • Support the team in preparation of transfer pricing documentations for the group to ensure that the compliance of transfer pricing regulations
  • Assist with research and implementation of various tax strategies, internal controls and processes. This includes working closely with stakeholders to understand the tax impact of business operations and ensure that tax needs are identified, considered and communicated.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing tax digitization and automation tax processes
  • Providing support in tax audits with close collaboration with Tax manager and finance teams
  • Maintain strong relationship with internal and external stakeholders e.g. tax authorities, consultants, etc.

Requirements

  • At least Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Law from a recognized university
  • 7-10 years of working experience in Tax, preferably from the Financial Institutions, e-Commerce/Marketplace or Logistics sector
  • Proven track record in managing Tax compliance and process improvement projects
  • Good problem-solving skills and a high degree of agility
  • Good people manager and a team player
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and flexible with a good attitude
  • Able to work late to meet tight deadlines
