Scopely is searching for an experienced UX Leader to join our Puzzle Group. You will join an immensely talented and experienced team to develop and launch multiple new Puzzle and Casual titles, utilizing some of the world’s most beloved IPs. The Lead UX Designer is ultimately accountable to delivering exceptional User Experience across several products while working along and leveling up multiple UX Designers team.

In this role you will be a pivotal voice for design and the product, collaborating with stakeholders and team members across Game Design, Creative, PM, UI Design, Art, and Engineering as you drive initiatives and processes that seek to increase the teams empathy for players and improve the product.

What you will do:

  • Develop a cohesive vision for a pre-launch and live product’s User Experience
  • Own the UX for features from pre-visualization through to implementation and beyond
  • Connect the dots with UI Art to fully realize UX vision for each of the products in the Puzzle group.
  • Drive UX excellence from within Scopely and communicate that process and thinking to outstanding game studio partners.
  • Own UX processes, integrating product and game design needs as well as producing excellent UX deliverables (such as flow diagrams, wireframes, etc.)
  • Facilitate creation of prototypes for internal and external playtesting.
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, artists and engineers to translate designs into reality.
  • Seek out and leverage the talents of Scopely’s player research team to inform and validate your designs.
  • Use analytics to gain insights into player behavior to help drive discussion, propose improvements, and steer product direction

What you will need:

  • 8+ years experience in UX design
  • Mobile games experience is a must, experience designing for casual audience preferred
  • Experience designing mobile games UX, with experience in casual, mass-market games a significant plus.
  • Multiple years of experience delivering innovative results in mobile UX design (portfolio of relevant work).Extensive training in and knowledge of core UX principles and methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute the UX/UI across multiple feature sets within a single mobile app
  • Demonstrated ability to partner across disciplines in order to achieve excellent UX/UI results
  • Strong eye for visual design. This is not an art position, but will require a keen sense of design.
  • Knowledge of standard UX design tools.
  • Familiarity with monetization strategies for in-app purchases and free-to-play games.
  • Ability to analyze market data and to align around product KPI goals in order to translate them into actionable designs.

This role can be based out of our London or Barcelona office.
